After completion of B. Ed. course the students get the opportunity to serve as primary and secondary school

 teachers in government and private sector. Beside this they also pursue higher education in the field of teacher education programs (MA Education, M. Ed., and Ph D).

The Program Educational Objectives of the B. Ed. program are:


  • To strengthen the prospective teachers to critically examine the role of various agencies in the process of education.

  • To impart the generic knowledge of various stages of human development of individual differences, personality, intelligence and creativity.

  • To inculcate and enhance the knowledge of verbal & non-verbal Communications.

  • To gain an understanding in teaching skills, approaches to innovative teaching methods and classrooms management to address the diversity of students in classroom.

  • To train the prospective teachers in various speaking and writing skills.

  • To develop an understanding of professional ethics and multifaceted role of a teacher in the light of ideologies and educational philosophies of various Indian and western philosophers.

  • To broaden the comprehension of prospective teachers in educational psychology and mental health. They will learn ways of applying the principles and theories of learning in a typical classroom situation.

  • To enable the prospective teachers to develop insight into the methodology of pedagogic subjects at secondary level.

To built a holistic understanding of the concept of assessment and evaluation and to develop the required skills in construction of achievement test.
