Joined as Lecturer in the Department in the year 1993. At present working as Professor. Involved in teaching and research for over two decades. The thrust area of my research is autoimmunity. I work on possible trigger(s) for initiation and progression of systemic lupus erythematosus (SLE), rheumatoid arthritis (RA) and type2 diabetes mellitus (T2DM). The research work has been published in peer reviewed journals like-ABB, FEBS Lett, BBRC, Human Immunol, Life Sci, Int J Biol Macromol etc. My interesting teaching areas are chemistry, metabolism and inborn diseases of amino acids, proteins and nucleic acids.
