Dr. Iram Siddique is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Botany, Aligarh Muslim University, Aligarh. She obtained her Master and Ph.D. Degrees in 2003 and 2008 respectively from the same University. Dr. Iram has also worked as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Botany & Microbiology, King Saud University, Riyadh, Saudi Arabia from 17th February 2012 to 09th September 2017. She worked as a Project Fellow in a UGC funded project and subsequently as a Senior Research Fellow and Research Associate of CSIR, New Delhi. During post-doc, she was engaged in teaching a diploma course entitled Advanced Diploma (Post M.Sc.) in Plant Tissue Culture and Micropropagation in the Department of Botany, AMU, Aligarh and also in Women's College, AMU. She has published Thirty seven research papers in reputed International peer-reviewed and UGC CARE Journals and  edited a book Propagation and Genetic Manipulation of Plants (2021) published by Springer- Nature, Singapore. These publications have been cited 482 times with 12 h-index. She was conferred  a number of Prestigious awards like Young Scientist award of the Year 2010 of Uttar Pradesh Council of Science and Technology (UPCST), Lucknow, Junior Scientist of the Year 2011 of National Environmental Science Academy (NESA), New Delhi and Excellence in Research Scientist award -2018 by Agricultural Technology Development Society, Ghaziabad, India. She visited Faculty of Agriculture, University of Mauritius, Mauritius, Singapore, Addis Ababa University, Ethiopia, and UAE under various research exchange programme. She holds membership of many International and national scientific bodies.
