Dr. Arifa Shaheen did her B.Sc. (Hons. School), M.Sc. (Hons. School) and Ph.D. from Department of Chemistry, Guru Nanak Dev University, Amritsar, Punjab. She qualified CSIR-UGC NET, JRF and GATE exams during her M.Sc.She worked as CSIR-JRF and CSIR-SRF in her Ph.D. She has 14 years of teaching experience as Assistant Professor at Guru Nanak Dev University, Amritsar, Dr. B.R. Ambedkar National Institute of Technology, Jalandhar and Punjabi University, Patiala before joining Aligarh Muslim University in 2014. Her research interest includes surfactant selective sensors, micellar chemistry, solution behaviour of surfactants, surfactant-polymer interactions. She has published 20 research papers in various international refereed journals such as Journal of Colloid Interface Science, Ind. Eng. Chem. Res., Colloid Polymer Science, J. Surf. Detergents etc.
