Dr. Hassan Irtaza is Professor in the Department of Civil Engineering, Aligarh Muslim University, Aligarh, India. He joined university in January 1995 and worked over various capacities since then. Awarded Ph.D. from Oxford Brookes University, Oxford, U.K. in the area of Wind Engineering and Computational Fluid Dynamics. During stay in England he also worked as Lecturer Associate in Oxford Brookes University. Guided two PhD and  more than 20 M.Tech. students. At present he is guiding 2 M.Tech. and 1 PhD students. Having teaching and research experience of more than twenty five years. Awarded Brij Mohan Lal Memorial Prize by Institution of Engineers (India) in 2019 on the occasion of Centenary Celebration. Successfully completed three research projects awarded by AICTE, CST-UP, & MNRE, GOI. Areas of researches includes Wind Engineering & Computational Wind Engineering (CWE &CFD), Concrete & Steel Structures and Health Analysis, Structural Dynamics & Earthquake Engineering.. Member of both International and National Professional bodies, such as: Institution Structural Engineers, London (UK), Life Member of IE (India), Life Member of Indian Association of Structural Engineering (MIASE), Life Member of Indian Association of Computational Mechanics (MIndACM).
