Dr. Rehan Ahmad Khan did his B.Tech and M.Tech degrees in Civil Engineering from AMU Aligarh in 1995 and 1997 respectively and Ph.D from Indian Institute of Technology, New Delhi in 2003.The topic of Ph.D thesis is Reliability Analysis of Cable Stayed Bridges Under Earthquake Forces. Presently he is working as Professor in the Department of Civil Engineering, AMU, Aligarh and Secretary of ISET (Indian Society of Earthquake Technology) Delhi Chapter . His areas of research interest include Fibre Reinforced Concrete, Reliability Analysis, Structural Dynamics and Earthquake Engineering. The main teaching subjects consist Structural Analysis, Design of Concrete Structures, Strength of Materials,Elements of Earthquake and Wind Engineering,Advance Construction Materials and Higher Numerical Analysis. He has published more than 51 papers in the reputed Journals and Conferences. Name of some important International Journals include International Journal of Engineering Structure, Elsevier Publication ISSN: 0141-0296, International Journal of Vibration and Control ISSN:1077-5463, International Journal of Earthquake Engineering & Engineering Vibration ISSN: 1671-3664, International Journal of European Earthquake Engineering ISSN: 0394-5103 etc. Dr. Rehan organized and attended number of short term courses and training programmes. Apart from it Dr. Rehan received three government research project namely UGC MRP (Major Research Proposal) and UGC SAP (Special Assistance Programme) with Prof. Shakeel Ahmad and many prestigious awards to his credit such as AICTE Career Award for Young Teachers in 2008 and UGC-Research Award in 2014. He has also been involved in a number of consultancy projects.
