Dr. Sohail Ayub obtained his Ph.D from Civil Engineering Department Aligarh Muslim University in the area of wastewater treatment technologies. His research interests and publications are in the area of water, wastewater, solid waste and air pollution. He has more than 100 research papers published in reputed national / international journals and presented in conferences. He has guided over 50 student dissertations at M.Tech level and guided 6 Ph.D students as well as many Ph.D research scholar working under their guidance. He has organized several workshops, seminars and symposiums. He is life member of institution of engineers, Institution of Public Health Engineer (India) and Institute of Standards Engineers. He is the recipient of the ISTE UP Government National Award in 2001 for outstanding work done in the field of engineering and technology and Best Teacher Award in 2002 for in recognition of outstanding contribution to academic community and the students. He has delivered advanced technical lectures at the invitation of various departments and industries. He was acquired vast experience by visits to several leading industries and institutions. He has contributed immensely to industry-institute interactions through student visit / training at industry. He is supervising various National and State research projects as a principal investigator on air quality monitoring at Aligarh and Hathras. The other project received under National Clean Air  Programme from ministry of Env., Forest & climate change for the city Moradabad and Khurja. The latest project under Utter Pradesh clean air management program is approved by the central cabinet for the establishment of lab facilities, Mini super sites establishments, advance instrument facilities for other districts, knowledge centers, EIA studies and online training module.
