Dr. Mohammad Nazim is an Associate Professor in Library and Information Science Department at Aligarh Muslim University (AMU). He has more than 17 years of experience in teaching, research, and librarianship. He holds a Ph.D. in Library and Information Science from Banaras Hindu University (BHU) and a Master's degree in Library and Information Science from AMU. Before joining AMU as Assistant Professor, he spent around nine and half years at BHU as Assistant Librarian. He has more than 72 publications to his credit, including many research articles in Emerald Insights, Taylor and Francis, and Elsevier Science journals, and a book on Knowledge Management in Libraries from Chandos Publishing (an imprint of Elsevier, USA). He has guided 36 Master's Dissertations and three Ph.D. Theses and completed two research projects funded by ICSSR.  He is currently an associate editor of Library Waves, a member of the Editorial Board of Preprints.org, and a reviewer for Chandos Publishing, BMC Research Notes (an open-access journal from BioMed Central), DESIDOC Journal of Library and Information Technology, and Scientometrics. Dr. Nazim is the topic editor of the theme Scholarly Communication of the journal Frontiers in Research Metrics and Analytics. He has also worked as the managing editor for the Journal of Indian Library Association (JILA) from 2016 to 2019. He visited Malaysia in 2018 as an invited speaker at the IFLA Knowledge Management Satellite Conference held at Xiamen University, Kuala Lumpur. His research interests include knowledge organization and information retrieval, knowledge management, open science, and bibliometric/scientometrics.
