Teaching in the department since 1997and presently working as Professor. She has done her B.Lib I.Sc. and M.Lib .I.Sc. from AMU and secured first position in M.L.I.Sc. , she has completed her M.Phil from Delhi University and P.hD from AMU. She is teaching various courses and guiding research in the field. Presently responsible for overseeing library operations, resource management, and user services as University Librarian. Authored and published over 60 papers in national and international journals and conference proceedings, covering a wide range of topics in Library and Information Science, held significant positions in library administration and academic institutions, contributing to the enhancement of library services and educational curriculums. She had been involved in the development of innovative curricula and educational programs in the Library and Information Science domain.

She has conducted workshops and training for students, faculty, and library staff on topics such as information literacy, digital resources, and research methodologies. she is also a very active member of various national and international library associations and bodies.

Her involvement in committees and working groups focused on elevating library science education and practice is also worth mentioning
