After passing 10th standard from S. S. Inter College, Azamgarh in 1970, he came to Aligarh Muslim University and passed his PUC in 1971 and BUMMS in 1978. Soon after the completion of his under graduate education, he was appointed House officer in Ajmal Khan Tibbiya College Hospital, Moalejat Section. Then he completed MD (Advia) in 1983 and MD (Moalejat) in 1989 from Aligarh Muslim University, Aligarh. He was appointed Lecturer in the Department of Moalejat in 1989, promoted as Reader in 1997 and became Professor in 2005 and serving as Chairman of the Department till date. His areas of interest are Moalejat (Medicine) and Ilmul Advia (Pharmacology) especially Gastro Intestinal and Sexual Diseases. He diagnoses the patients exclusively in the light of Unani Parameters and has a vast clinical experience of more than three decades.He has visited a number of Countries including Gulf Countries, South Africa, UAE, Bangladesh and Srilanka and shared his clinical experience there. He is author of 09 books which reflects his persistent endeavour for the propagation of Unani System of Medicine in general masses. He always emphasises on easy and cost effective treatment with Unani Medicines. His research papers have been published in reputed journals like FEMS Immunology and Medical Microbiology, Hamdard Medicus (Pakistan), Indian Journal of Traditional Knowledge, Hippocratic Jouranal of Unani Medicine and Journal of Drug Targeting.
