Zaid Ahmad Siddiqui is an Assistant Professor at the Department of Philosophy, Aligarh Muslim University Aligarh. He possesses a good academic record with First division throughout High School to post-graduation. He has been awarded the University Gold Medal for standing First in M.A.(Philosophy). The topic of his Ph.D. thesis is 'The Ideology of the Aesthetic in Rabindranath Tagore'. His areas of interest are Greek Philosophy, Classical Indian Philosophy, Metaphysics, Ethics and Aesthetics. He has published several articles and has presented Research Papers in National Seminars. He has been the Organizing Secretary of World Philosophy Day 2016, 2017 and has organised the National Symposium on 'Interreligious Understanding' and University Extension Lectures. He has been The Counting Officer at the AMU Students Union Election. Currently, he is the Assistant Superintendent of Exams of the Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences. He has been appointed by the Vice-Chancellor as Mentor of the Students for Civil Services Examination. He has been appointed Faculty Advisor in the Innovation Committee constituted by the Innovation Council and University Incubation Centre, AMU Aligarh. He has also been appointed Assistant Editor of the Journal of The Faculty of Arts (कला संकाय शोध पत्रिका) for the year 2022-2023.
