Zaid Ahmad Siddiqui is an Assistant Professor at the Department of Philosophy, Aligarh Muslim University Aligarh. He possesses a good academic record with First division throughout from High School to Post Graduation. He has been awarded the University Gold Medal for standing First in M.A.(Philosophy). The topic of his Ph.D. thesis is 'The Ideology of the Aesthetic in Tagore'. His areas of interest are Greek Philosophy, Classical Indian Philosophy, Metaphysics, Ethics and Aesthetics. He has published several Articles and has presented Research Papers in National Seminars. He has been the Organizing Secretary of World Philosophy Day 2016, 2017 and has organized National Symposium on 'Interreligious Understanding' and also University Extension Lectures. He has been The Counting Officer at AMU Students Union Election in 2017. Currently he is Assistant Superintendent of Exams of Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences. He has been appointed by the Vice-Chancellor as Mentor of the Students for Civil Services Examination. He has been appointed Faculty Advisor in Innovation Committee constituted by Innovation council and University Incubation Centre, AMU Aligarh. He has also been appointed Assistant Editor of Journal of The Faculty of Arts (कला संकाय शोध पत्रिका) for the year 2022-2023.
