Faizan Ahmad completed his Ph.D. in Post Harvest Engineering and Technology in 2022 and B.Tech and M.Tech degrees in Chemical Engineering from Zakir Husain College of Engineering and Technology, Aligarh Muslim University, Aligarh in 2011 and 2013, respectively. Soon after, he joined the Department of Chemical Engineering, A.M.U., Aligarh, as a Guest Faculty/Assistant Professor and served the department from (2014-2017). On 6th March 2017, he joined the Department of Post Harvest Engineering & Technology, Faculty of Agricultural Sciences, Aligarh Muslim University, Aligarh, as an Assistant Professor. Having more than ten years of experience, he has been actively engaged in research and the teaching of undergraduate and postgraduate classes. He has published over 25 research papers in peer-reviewed SCI/ESCI/Scopus-indexed journals and over 15 book chapters. He has edited 02 books published in Taylor & Francis and Springer Nature Group, and he has also presented his work at 15 international and national conferences. He has attended more than 40 seminars/conferences/ workshops/short-term courses and faculty development programs. He has also supervised 11 M.Tech dissertations and is presently supervising 04 M.Tech students. His major area of research interest includes quality assessment of fruits & vegetables during storage and drying, extraction of bio-active compounds from agricultural wastes, food processing, food engineering, etc. He has 01 granted and 01  published patent on a fully automatic vacuum dryer with a data recorder by the Govt. of IndiaHe is a life member of the Indian Society of Technical Education (ISTE). He also has a Quarterly Franklin Membership of London Press (UK). In the year 2020 he was conferred the Vedant Educator Excellence Award and the Dr. A. P. J. Abdul Kalam Scientist Award 2020. Recently he was conferred with the Young Scientist Award-2023 during the 5th International Conference on Climate Change and its Impact, held at Sher-e-Kashmir University of Agricultural Sciences and Technology, Srinagar.
