Dr. Andleeb is Assistant Professor at the Department of Social Work, Aligarh Muslim University. She has earned her Ph.D (Political Violence in Kashmir: Studying consequences on women and their coping mechanism) after completing her Masters degree in Social Work and B.A. (Hons) Economics from the same university.  

Dr Andleeb has over six years of experience teaching Bachelors and Masters courses in Social Work at AMU. She possesses excellent communication skills online and offline in English and Urdu languages and believes in participatory teaching-learning processes while encouraging students to be interrogative in different classroom settings and fieldwork teach-ins. She has also been supervising Doctorate scholars of Social Work.

Dr Andleeb’s core interests include Community Work, Social Development, Gender, and Social Exclusion/Inclusion. She has published articles and research papers in various peer-reviewed journals and presented papers in national and international conferences. Her range of work spans subjects like women’s oppressed agency, conflict social work, faith-based healing, power equations in society, political violence, social justice, Development and the role of Social Work practice in promoting human rights.
