  • Dr. S. Mohammed Asghar Rizvi  has an extensive Academic, Scientific, Technical & Administrative experiences respectively. He was on the Advisory Board for ASTRO-SAT, Nano Satellite Mission for Support and Advisor to develop a Nano Satellite Mission, Astronomical Science and Technology Research Organization-INDIA.  He was on the International ADVISORY BOARD: International Society of Geoinformation Symposium & Exhibition on Geoinformation (ISG), Malaysia. He was Regional Coordinator (South-Asia) 2011, 2013 & 2015: International Conferences and  also
     I have been guiding Dissertation of PGDM candidates.

Dr.  Rizvi was  associated with Research & Development (R & D) Projects. The Research projects entitled, Natural Resource Information System (NRIS)  Sponsored by Planning Commission, Government of India under the aegis of National Informatics Centre, New Delhi at Erstwhile Remote Sensing Applications Centre for Resource Evaluation & the Geo-engineering, Aligarh Muslim University (AMU) India,  Used Remote Sensing data  & its Techniques to generate Natural Resources thematic Information from the Satellite data and Ground based  in situ data.

 Dr. Rizvi is a  First person from this University,  presented his paper on "INTERPRETATION OF C-BAND ERS-1 SAR DATA FOR FLOOD MAPPING IN PARTS OF TALUK BHUJ, DISTRICT KUCHCH, GUJARAT at Space Application Centre (SAC)/ISRO, Ahmedabad during  M.Phil Programme (1993-94) the then I was at  RSACREG, AMU Aligarh."

The part of my  Research and  Development work carried out at SAC/ISRO, Ahmedabad, IIRS Dehradun & RSACUP during M.Phil & PhD programme respectively.

The Research Interest is focused  on evaluation of Microwave data (Image & non-Image), Scatterometer, Radiometer and Optical Spectrum data for Water Resources, Disaster Management, Watershed Management, Urban Development Soil Resources. I   used Statistical Analysis and Modelling in conjunction with Spaceborne Satellite Remote Sensing & Ground based Remote Sensing Data.
