Dr. Syed Shaz Husain is currently posted as Assistant Librarian in Computer Application Division at Maulana Azad Library, Aligarh Muslim University (AMU), Aligarh, India. He is an alumnus of Banaras Hindu University, Varanasi. He has qualified National Eligibility Test (NET), and was successfully awarded Junior Research Fellowship (JRF) conducted by University Grants Commission (UGC), New Delhi, India. He has a Ph. D. from Department of Library and Information Science, BHU. Earlier, he worked as a Library Trainee in Central Library, BHU. Then he was associated with other Central Govt organizations and worked in the post of Librarian at Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya, Kannauj, and Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan, Lalitpur. He has published research articles in several scholarly journals and presented many research ideas in many conferences and seminars. His research interests include Metadata, Intangible Cultural Heritage, Information Technology, Information Storage and Retrieval, Public Libraries, and Intangible Cultural Heritage.
