About the Centre
The Centre has become
fully functional w.e.f. July 2011. We are having four specialty clinics every
week (Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday) and on an average 700 patients/week
suffering from endocrine disease are managed under one roof.
The Centre had also started Ph.D./M.Phil. Programme in Endocrinology from 2012,
one Ph.D. student enrolled at the Centre till date. We have organized teaching
programmes in educating the masses regarding diabetes, metabolic syndrome and
other disease relating to the specialty through educational camps. The
teaching of undergraduate and post graduate have been strengthened.

Endocrine Lab(s) of the Centre:
Rajiv Gandhi Centre for Diabetes and Endocrinology has
five lab for the investigations related to Endocrine Disorders.
Radioimmunoassay Laboratory, Metabolic Laboratory, Molecular
Endocrinology Laboratory, Vascular Assessment Laboratory and DEXA Scan Lab. For
the patients suffering from Diabetic Neuropathy, we have
Latest/sophisticated machine (Diabetic Risk Profiler) on which the patients is examine and proper treatment is
provided. Facility of DEXA Scan (Bone Mineral Density) is also available at
Rajiv Gandhi Centre for Diabetes and Endocrinology to measure bone density. All the investigations related to Endocrine Disorders are being provided under one roof.
