Dr.S.Imtiaz Hasnain, Professor of Sociolinguistics. He was EWC Fulbright Scholar in East West Center, Hawaii, U.S.A.; Senior Fellow, Central Institute of Indian Languages (CIIL), (MHRD), Mysore; Visiting Professor, Centre for Linguistics, JNU; Visiting Scholar, Indian Institute of Advanced Study, Shimla; Senior Visiting Scholar. Orebro University, Sweden (For three months: April-June 2014).He has also been a recipient of "President's Inspired Teachers for 2015",which is the highest civilian recognition for University-level teachers for the Central Universities in the the Republic of India. He is Editor of Indian Linguistics (Volumes 73-75, 2012-2014); Associate Editor Pearson CIIL Urdu English Dictionary.He is a Member of (a) Round Table for Protection and Promotion of Indigenous Traditional Knowledge and Endangered Languages, MHRD,Govt. of India(2010),(b) Core Committee, Scheme for Protection and Preservation of Endangered Languages (SPPEL), CIIL, MHRD,(2013).
