I did my doctoral work at the Institute of Physics, Bhubaneswar an autonomous reasearch institute run by the Department of Atomic Energy, Government of India. After doing my postdoctoral work at the Institute of Mathematical Sciences, Adyar, Chennai, another Department of Atomic Energy research institute I joined the Physics Department in October 1995. My research interests lie in string theory in particular and theoretical particle physics in general.
