Dr. Khan received his M.Phil./Ph.D. degrees from the Aligarh Muslim University, Aligarh/ Inter-University Acceleration Centre (IUAC), New Delhi. He has cleared CSIR-NET/GATE exams and received a number of awards/fellowships. His current scientific interests lie in the area of experimental condensed matter physics, particularly multiferroics, orthoferrites, manganites, diluted magnetic semiconductors, photocatalysts, nanocomposites, graphene based nanomaterials, etc. Khan’s study focuses on understanding the structure, electronic, transport, optical and magnetic properties of various oxides and designing strategies to engineer new materials for device applications. His research expertise extends across various materials synthesis routes and analytical techniques such as XRD, SAXS, SEM, TEM, low-temperature transport measurements, etc. He also has extensive experience in the modifications of material properties by ion beam irradiation. He has published over 100 research papers in peer-reviewed international journals such as Biomaterials, Chemical Communication, Scientific Reports, Applied Physics Letters, Journal of Applied Physics, Functional Materials Letters, Materials Letters, etc. He has supervised 4 doctoral and more than 25 postgraduate students. He has been actively involved in organizing national and international conferences/workshops. Dr. Khan has presented his research work in many national/international conferences and also visited various countries for academic purpose. He is a regular reviewer of more than a dozen international journals.
