I hold M. Phil and Ph. D. Degrees from Aligarh Muslim University. I am working as Associate Professor in the Department of Physics, A. M. U. I have taught many papers such as 'Electricity & Magnetism', Optics 'Atomic , Molecular & Laser Physics', Digital systems and Applications 'Electronics' and 'Assembly language Programming of Microprocessor'. I have supervised two Ph.D, Two M.Phil. and Twenty eight M. Sc. Projects. Prior to this I was the Principal Investigator of a DST funded Project entitled " Structural study of heavy ions in the vacuum ultra-violet region " under WOS-A Scheme. I have also worked as R. A. in the Department and assisted in the preparation of XIth five year plan. I have done research on 'Spectroscopic studies of moderately ionized cesium atoms'. My research papers are published in journals like JQSRT, AIP and  'Physica Scipta'. During my M.Phil. in the field of electronics on 'CRT display of alpha-numeric characters of Urdu', I got an opportunity to attend "Experts Committee meet on computerisation of Urdu" at the C-DAC of Pune university. I have been awarded several scholarships such as 'Senior Research Fellowship', 'DSA Fellowship' , ' University fellowship'& 'College merit scholarships' .
