Shikha Chauhan is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Physics, Aligarh Muslim University, Aligarh since Feb 2014. She did her B.Sc. from CSJM University, Kanpur in 2001, M.Sc. in Physics from Aligarh Muslim University, Aligarh in 2003. She completed her M.Phil. and Ph.D. degree in Intermediate energy nuclear physics from Aligarh Muslim University, Aligarh in 2005 and 2010, respectively. After completing her doctoral studies she worked as Research Associate from Aug. 2010 to Sept. 2011 on a Department of Science and Technology(DST), Govt of India, funded research project. In the year 2011, she has been awarded Women Scientist award under the Department of Science and Technology (DST), Govt of India [DST(WOS-A)] scheme. She worked as Women Scientist from Sept. 2011 to Feb. 2014 at Department of Physics, Aligarh Muslim University, Aligarh. During her doctoral research, she performed theoretical calculations for anti(neutrino) - nucleus interaction cross sections in low as well as in intermediate energy region using FORTRAN Programming and MATHEMATICA software. She has published his research works in several refereed journals. Presently she is involved in under-graduate level teaching. She is teaching courses like Nuclear, Particle and Astrophysics, Optics, Electricity & Magnetism, Mechanics, Thermal Physics.
