I obtained all my degrees in Zoology with specialization in Parasitology from the Aligarh Muslim University Aligarh, India. I joined the Department as Lecturer in March 1997 and promoted to Reader in 2006. My research was mainly focused on aspects of Morphology, Biochemistry, Enzymology and pathology of both veterinary and medically important helminth parasites. We have characterized strains of Echinococcus granulosus by using morpholohical, Biochemical, in vivo developmental and molecular tools. Another area on which we worked was histopathology and pathophysiology due to parasitic infection. Presently we are working on antioxidant enzymes of various helminth parasites and pathology caused by them. The salient findings have been published in the peer reviewed national and international journals such as Journal of Helminthology, International journal of Parasitology, Zoologicher Anzeiger, Parasitologica Hungarica, Archives of Polish Fesheries and Helminthologia. Currently teaching various courses to both UG and PG classes, like Animal Physiology, Essentials of Biological Chemistry, Immunology and Parasitology.
