My research interest lies in the taxonomy, biology, ecology and biodiversity of insect pests of agricultural importance and in their biological control through the use of insect natural enemies. I have conducted independent research work, published the outcome in journals of international repute namely Oriental Insects, Zootaxa, Elsevier, Blackwell Publications and Insecta Mundi etc. I have written a few books in the field of my specialization. I am also supervising research projects as principal Investigator sponsored by government organizations namely UGC, DST, CST-UP and MoEF. Other research in may lab focuses on systematic of Aphids (Hemiptera) and their natural enemies; Systematics and biology of some economically important Scutellerid bugs; Biosystematics studies on Hymenopterous parasitoids associated with some important Aphids and faunistic diversity of Braconidae.
