Arees Qamareen is Associate Professor in the Department. She did her B.Tech (Mechanical) in 2002 (First Position - Maulana Tufail Ahmad Gold Medal) and completed her M.Tech (Thermal Sciences) in 2004 (First Position - University Medal). She joined the Mechanical Engineering Department as Assistant Professor in 2003 and has been teaching several thermo-fluid courses such as Engineering Thermodynamics, Advanced Conduction and Radiation Heat Transfer, Power Plant Engineering, Gas Dynamics, Experimental Methods and Analysis, etc.

She did her Ph.D. in the area of Numerical investigations of performance enhancement of Micro-mixers and Micro-combustors. Her work has been published in Chemical Engineering and Processing: Process Intensification (Elsevier), Energy Technology (Wiley-VCH GmbH), Chemical Engineering Communications (Taylor & Francis), Computers & Chemical Engineering, Chemical Product and Process Modeling.
