His areas of interest are International Politics, Indian Polity, Minority Rights, Terrorism, and Politics- Islam Interface. He is a prolific writer and has contributed several articles, research papers, chapters in the edited books on socio-political issues of national and international importance. He has also authored a book (International Terrorism and Violence: A Human Rights Perspective). He has presented papers in national and international seminars/conferences in India and abroad.
